Freeman’s Paradise
Due to an easement for access along the back of this property we were restricted by how far into the yard we could build which is how the 30’ pool came to be set on an angle parallel to the property line.
Initially we were going to work with some existing features but new plans were quickly put together as construction started to have all pavers continuous throughout the landscape and use the same stone veneer on the pillars, fireplace, outdoor kitchen and water wall with natural stone rock faced coping. The existing pavers although not used in the backyard design, were able to be saved, cleaned and re-installed to create an additional parking spot in the driveway. Another addition decided during the construction process was the complete putting green complete with a retaining wall to match the proposed one around the pool and lights on each of the holes for evening playing.
This landscape is complete with paver lighting, under counter lighting in the kitchen, lighting under the coping of the pillars and water feature, and up-lighting throughout the gardens. Although a modern and linear design overall, the fireplace adds a rustic element with a reclaimed barn beam from a local barn as the mantle.
A sleek brick slot drain allows for a the look of a seamless patio while ensuring that the integrity of the patio will stay intact with drainage in mind and a hidden solar blanket system built at the end of the pool under the patio allows for a clean pool patio.
